PureGuardian SPA210 Ultrasonic Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser Review
This little diffuser is a powerhouse with a few bells and whistles, which make it a great bathroom accessory. The SPA210 from PureGuardian is available from Amazon for just under $35 (and is PRIME eligible!), so it’s also a really good deal. The only downside might be that it does not come with any essential oils, although they’re readily available on Amazon – in fact, Amazon will recommend a starter pack of oils as a “frequently bought together” item.
If you’re looking for a diffuser for a small space (like your bathroom), there are tons of options. I like this Ultrasonic Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser from PureGuardian because of its compact size, subtle smell and ease of use. It also has a slightly futuristic look that will fit into any high tech bathroom. If you’re interested in something more natural-looking, there are woodgrain diffusers, or choose the classic diffuser set and forgo the electronic element altogether. All offer the same relaxing benefits of essential oils, which is a great way to start and end the day.
The PureGuardian SPA210 Ultrasonic Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser is just 6 inches tall and has a 4.5 foot cord, so it fits into just about any space. The small size is convenient, but it doesn’t get in the way of performance. Add your favorite essential oil and water to the reservoir, and the diffuser adds humidity and your favorite scent to the air for between 5 and 8 hours.
The manufacturer states that the reservoir includes silver technology to keep it mold-free. All that needs to be done to clean the diffuser is a quick wipe-down. Because there’s no filter, cleaning this diffuser is much easier than other models. Letting it dry completely every once in a while is also a good idea. One reviewer noticed that the steam port could be plugged by oil; in this case, she was able to run the diffuser with just filtered water and the SPA210 was as good as new.
The scent is not as powerful as bigger diffusers, so it works well in a smaller, enclosed area like the bathroom. Its compact size makes it easy to stash in a cabinet when you don’t need it. The nightlight (which, like everything else, is controlled by the touch screen), offers a little bit of light to help you navigate in the dark if need be. It runs quietly and includes an auto-shutoff, adding to the stress-free nature of the product!
